Battle of the Kings Unveiling
When: Friday, June 28, 6.30pm.
Where: Mackay Harley-Davidson, 26 Peel Street.
What’s happening: For the first time Mackay Harley-Davidson has entered “The Battle of the Kings” a world wide Harley-Davidson competition for bike customisation. The store chose to customise a Street Bob and the public is invited to see what the boys have done to it.
Artists Anita Laura and Cynthia Gregg will be participating in Mackay’s first art battle. The second battle is on this Friday.Emma Murray

What’s happening: Join in the second Art Battle Mackay. Artists have 20 minutes to turn blank canvases into incredible pieces of original art that will be available via silent auction. The Whitlams – Last Drinks at the Morrison Hotel Tour
When: Friday, June 28, 7.30pm.
Where: MECC Auditorium.
What’s happening: It’s 20 years since ‘Blow Up the Pokies’ was released on the multi-platinum album ‘Love this City’. It will be a fantastic night with 12 songs and two bonus tracks from ‘Love this City’ and the other half of the rambunctious long set will wander widely through the other five albums. Opening on the night is support act Tate Obst, the 2017 winner of ‘Mackay’s Got Talent’ competition, with his mixture of indie and reggae tunes. Tickets available from the MECC.
